Larry Curtis (LC) has been playing music since he was 7 years old. His musical training began with the accordian, but after a year of lessons he decided to pick up the guitar because The Beatles had invaded the USA and he began to re-think his musical persuits. He took note of the fact that you didn't see any girls screaming and crying over accordian players...plus Rock n Roll is not necessarily a style of music which goes very good on the accordian. He continued his accordian lessons, however, but began to learn how to play the guitar on his dad's 1963 Gibson flattop acoustic (which he still possesses and plays today). As time passed he began to play the accordian less and the guitar more, learning how to play popular songs from the radio as well as from his Beatles records.

He played in a number of bands throughout his teen years, however he opted for a career in flying helicopters instead of becoming a professional musician. He never lost his passion for playing good Rock n Roll music and today he makes music in his home utilizing his PC with a variety of sound applications. His early accordian training has been instrumental over the years as he has also developed on keyboards as well as the guitar. He began making recordings on his PC in 2001 and learned how to mix the sound waves to form his own digital band. He has also learned MIDI sequencing using his electronic keyboard to build backing tracks.

He has made several recordings, most of them old Beatles songs (go figure that one), but has also compiled a collection of other classic Rock n Roll tunes. His most recent compilation is called "Composite Wings" where he has also included 6 of his own original compositions. Below is the CD artwork (which he also did) and some download links for the songs on this CD. Hope you enjoy it! It's not professional quality by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't sound too bad considering the equipment which was used.

This is the folding insert for the front of the CD jewel case. LC is holding his Hamer Sunburst (Honeyburst Quilttop) which his wife, Tess, recently purchased for him. He played it on about half of the guitar tracks on this CD. He also plays a Gibson SG Standard and a Gibson Starburst acoustic guitar on this CD, as well as his Yamaha keyboard which he also used for the bass lines and some of the percussion. He also used a Korg DDD-5 digital drum machine for some of the percussion tracks. Now for the songlist and download links.
I apologize for not uploading these songs in their entirety but due issues with my hosting server I will only be able to upload segments of a few of them. I have chosen some of my favorites and I hope that you enjoy them... LC
